Off the coast of Naoussa , on the island of Paros in the Cyclades, the Maltese Falcon drops anchor in a peaceful bay. This legendary sailing ship, 88 meters long, is famous for its spiral rotating masts , unique in the world. Built by Perini Navi , it revolutionized sailing thanks to the DynaRig system, a technical legacy of the 1960s never before realized. With its square sails deployed from self-supporting pivoting masts, it can be maneuvered by a single person, despite its extraordinary size.
Paros, with its dry slopes , white Cycladic architecture and sheltered deep waters, is a favorite anchorage for superyachts , far from the crowds of Mykonos or Santorini. Naoussa, a former fishing port turned jet-setter, combines Greek authenticity with prestigious stopovers. The image captures a rare contrast: the futuristic monumentality of a technological sailboat against the motionless sobriety of the Aegean landscape.
