A wall of flesh, cut cleanly by a steel blade on which is inscribed an irreversible date: Berlin 1961–1989 . This monumental fresco evokes the still-open wound of the Berlin Wall , this concrete border which separated a city, a people, a world.
Here, the artist materializes political violence in an organic form: an urban scar , red and marbled like a gash in the collective memory. The flesh becomes a wall, the wall becomes a body, and the past becomes palpable. This image denounces not only a geographical division, but a human, historical and intimate tear .
Long after the fall of the Wall, Berlin bears its scars out in the open —not to erase them, but to remember. Every facade, every brick, every mural becomes a silent witness to the Cold War , to separation, to slow reconciliation.
