Under a large golf umbrella , a priest in a black cassock awaits the faithful, rosary in hand. Taken during the Chartres pilgrimage , this shot seems suspended in time: if you were to turn it into black and white, it would be difficult to say whether it dates from 1950 or 2025. The surrounding decor evokes the present, but the posture, the costume and the setting evoke another era. A striking shift , where past and present brush against each other without merging.
