Night train (France, Chartres)

Between two rails, a cobalt sky. The station becomes a threshold , a non-place with the appearance of a set: silhouettes in transit, geometric light, tense architecture. It is neither the arrival nor the departure that matters, but this suspended time where nothing moves, except perhaps the interior.

Inaugurated in 2023, the Chartres train station footbridge illustrates contemporary ambitions for soft mobility and fluidity between city and countryside. Its futuristic structure, its LED lighting, its function as much as its form—everything becomes line, tension, expectation.
